Amidst the streets and buildings of the big cities I see the vast array of multifaceted images that comprise the world of civilized humans. The real is mixed with the illusory, until it is difficult to tell where one begins and the other leaves off.
As I see it, there is no true division between the two. They are both manifestations of the process of perception. To see is to draw the line. I play with where that line is drawn and with the perplexity of perception that challenges the senses in the midst of the modern world.

I look for the underlying recurring forms and colors that make up the language of the seen. Each picture is unique, yet there is a consistency and steady development which reveals itself to me as I work.
I seek always to learn more, to find the hidden surprises that wait to be discovered. I play with the patterns which connect, searching to find the meaning amidst the chaos. This process is to me a metaphor for the phenomenon of life. To survive is to make sense of things—to create significance out of confusion. And to enjoy the process for all it is worth.
